This Privacy Policy explains how DELTA RECORDS SAS (“Delta Records,” “Julio Monroy,” “we,” “us,” “our”) collects, uses, protects, and processes the personal information you provide through the website www.juliomonroy.com (the “Site”), in accordance with Law 1581 of 2012 and Decree 1074 of 2015 of the Republic of Colombia.

By filling out our forms or creating a membership, you consent to the processing of your personal data in accordance with this Policy.

Information We Collect

A) Contact form (commercial services)

When you use our commercial contact form, we collect your first name, last name, email address, the description of your project, and the type of service you are interested in (for example, music production, mixing and/or mastering, immersive audio, publicity, or audio for video). This information is used solely to respond to and manage your inquiry.

B) Membership account (free)

The Site offers a free membership. You create your account by signing in with your Google or Facebook account. Through that sign-in, we receive basic profile information from the provider you choose — typically your name, email address, profile picture, and a provider user ID. We use this information to create and manage your membership and to give you access to member content.

C) Community and group activity

Membership gives you access to a community platform where you interact with other members. Any content you post or share within the groups (messages, comments, profile information) may be visible to other members and to us. Please share only what you are comfortable making visible to the community.

D) Academic content and tools

As a member, you can access academic audio content, videos, and browser-based tools such as the Julio Monroy Audio Room. We may record basic activity related to your use of member content in order to operate and improve the service.

E) Course registration

When academic courses are open (they are not always available), we collect the registration data you provide in order to enroll you. If a specific course requires payment, that payment is processed by an independent third-party provider under its own policies; we do not store full payment card data ourselves.

F) Newsletter subscription

If you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address (and your name, if provided) to send you news, updates, and promotional communications about Julio Monroy’s activities, content, and courses. The newsletter is managed through a third-party email marketing provider under its own privacy policy. Subscription is optional; you can unsubscribe at any time by contacting us.

G) Technical information

Our hosting platform and analytics services may automatically collect technical information — IP address, browser and device type, operating system, approximate region, pages visited, and timestamps — in order to operate and secure the Site, under their own policies.

How We Use Your Information

We use your data only for legitimate purposes:

  • respond to and manage commercial inquiries and quotes;

  • create, manage, and secure your membership account;

  • give you access to the community, academic content, and member tools;

  • enable interaction with other members;

  • manage course registrations when available;

  • send our newsletter to subscribers who have opted in;

  • operate, secure, and improve the Site;

  • comply with legal obligations.

We do not use your data for third-party advertising, and we do not sell it. We may send you communications related to your membership (for example, new academic content or the opening of courses). Promotional newsletters are sent only to subscribers who have expressly opted in, and you can withdraw that consent at any time by unsubscribing through the link in any email.

Signing In with Google or Facebook

Membership sign-in is handled through Google or Facebook. When you choose one of them, that provider authenticates you and shares limited profile data with us, as described in Section 2.B. Your use of Google or Facebook is governed by their respective privacy policies. We never receive your Google or Facebook password.

Community Content Visibility

The community is a shared space, and participation is subject to our community rules and code of conduct. Members are expected to interact respectfully and ethically: harassment, bullying, hate speech, sharing of others' personal or sensitive information, and any unlawful or off-topic conduct are not permitted. Information and content you choose to post within the groups is visible to other members. We are not responsible for how other members use information you voluntarily share, and we may moderate, remove content, or suspend accounts that violate these rules. Please do not post sensitive personal information you wish to keep private.

Browser-Based Tools

Some member tools, such as the Julio Monroy Audio Room, run entirely within your browser, on your own device. Unless a specific tool states otherwise, the content you work with in these tools stays on your device and is not uploaded to or stored on our servers.

Sharing of Information

We do not sell or rent your personal data. We share limited data only with:

  • trusted providers that operate the Site (hosting, membership and community platform, analytics, email marketing, and — where applicable — payment processing), under confidentiality obligations and their own policies;

  • authorities, when required by law or to protect our rights.

Cookies and Third-Party Hosting

The Site is hosted on an external platform. That platform and integrated third-party services may place cookies and process technical information under their own policies.

Data Retention and Security

We keep your personal information only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, maintain your membership, comply with legal obligations, or resolve disputes. We apply reasonable technical and administrative measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, loss, or use. You may request deletion of your membership and associated data at any time (see Section 11).

Legal Basis and International Transfers

We primarily process personal information under Colombian Law 1581 of 2012. Where other privacy laws apply based on your location, we rely on consent, legal compliance, or legitimate interest, as applicable. Because our providers (hosting, membership, and social sign-in) operate internationally, your information may be processed on servers located outside Colombia, with appropriate safeguards where required by law.

Your Rights (Habeas Data)

Depending on your location, you may access, correct, update, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal information, and withdraw your consent. If you are in Colombia, these are your habeas data rights under Law 1581 of 2012, exercisable before the Superintendency of Industry and Commerce  where applicable.

To exercise your rights — including deleting your membership — write to info@deltarecords.net stating your request.

Children’s Privacy

Membership and access to the community are restricted to persons aged 18 or older. Because the Site includes direct interaction between members, we do not knowingly allow minors to register or collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that a person under 18 has created a membership or that a minor's data was collected, we will suspend the account and delete the associated data.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Changes take effect upon publication with a revised “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Site after that constitutes acknowledgement of the update.
